Northern Ontario Wildflowers

We are on vacation this week (don’t worry, I watered the garden before we left!), and grateful that most but not all of Ontario has entered stage two of pandemic reopening. (So we are able to travel a little). Today’s walk through cottage country surrounding Lake Nipissing I enjoyed strolling past a few wildflowers:

Roadside bright orange fleabane?
These bright orange flowers appear to me to be fleabane
I was happy to see Bunchberries in a shady spot
This giant lilac tree was in bloom, but filled with yellow swallowtail butterflies

Happy (almost) summer – stop and smell the flowers!
