August Yellow

Although I love the long hot lazy days of July, the weather has cooled off just a little now and it’s still sunny daily. My garden is recovering from the scorching heat of July, and I am enjoying the riot of colours all around the neighbourhood.

Tall false sunflowers bloom under the rose of sharon and over the mayflowers.

Pink Phlox keeps on blooming below the black eyed susan

I was never a fan of yellow and in the garden, but I have grown to love the happy free-spirited black eyed susans, sunflowers, and sunflowers in contrast to my assorted pink and purple flowers.

Happy August
